Dublin Roller Derby is celebrating after receiving a £300 donation from the MARS Milk Play Fund.

Roller Derby is a full-contact sport played on roller skates predominately by females. The sport is fast, strategic, athletic and inclusive. Dublin Roller Derby is Ireland’s first roller derby league. Established in 2009, it grew from a handful of eager skaters to a competitive sports league with fully registered teams, referees and non-skating officials.

We're super proud of our A Team skater Trisha Smackanawa for making the 31 skater training squad for Team England! We know Smack is going to work ridiculously hard to make the final cut to make it to Dallas for the Blood & Thunder World Cup and we wish her the best of luck.

Team England is lucky to have her!

A huge congrats to our Head Ref Shref for being selected to ref at the Men's Roller Derby World Cup in Birmingham in March. We're sure that he'll do an exceptional job of keeping those boys in line for the weekend!

If you're interested in keeping Dublin Roller Derby in line (either as an on skates referee or a non-skating official) email Werdz at officials@dublinrollerderby.com, we're always looking for more zebras & flamingos for our dazzle and flamboyance (yes, a group zebra is a dazzle and a flamboyance of flamingo)!
